APMIC’s "Taiwan Sovereign Model Powered by NVIDIA DGX B200, " Wins Recognition from Ministry of Digital Affairs

June 1, 2026 at 5:00:00 AM

Since its inception in 2017, APMIC (Accelerate Private Machine Intelligence Company), a leading pioneer in Large Language Model (LLM) fine-tuning technologies, announced today the completion of Taiwan’s first sovereign AI model with FP4 precision. Powered by an NVIDIA DGX BasePOD with DGX B200 systems, the model has officially received high recognition from the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA). After joining the NVIDIA Inception program in 2023, APMIC has aggressively deployed top-tier computing resources and utilized NVIDIA full AI stack. This collaboration successfully gave birth to the "Taiwan Sovereign Model"—an AI tailored to Taiwanese values that has not only won high praise from MODA but is also set to spearhead a new era of AI transformation across finance, government, and major industries.

Top-Tier Hardware & Software: Building a Rock-Solid AI Infrastructure

Demonstrating its commitment to deep tech, APMIC has invested heavily since late 2024 to integrate high-end hardware, including the NVIDIA DGX BasePOD with DGX B200 systems, HPE ProLiant DL380a Gen12 powered by NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition, and Dell Pro Max powered by NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. These assets drive product development across model training, inference, and edge computing.

On the software side, APMIC places NVIDIA’s cutting-edge AI technologies at the core of its R&D, utilizing:

●      NVIDIA Blackwell architecture

●      NVIDIA NeMo open libraries  & NVIDIA Nemotron open models

●      NVIDIA NemoClaw blueprint for always-on, autonomous agents

Through this fully integrated hardware-software solution, APMIC has drastically accelerated the efficiency of training and deploying complex models.

David Beats Goliath: 24B Sovereign Model Scores 100% on "Taiwanese Values"

Leveraging NVIDIA Nemotron training recipe and NVIDIA NeMo open libraries, APMIC trained its Taiwan Sovereign Model with parameter sizes of just 24 billion (24B) and 30 billion (30B). Remarkably, the model achieved a 100% perfect score in Taiwanese culture and values benchmarks, significantly outperforming trillion-parameter models available globally.

Furthermore, in overall evaluations—which included Taiwan's High School Academic Proficiency Exams for Chinese Literature and Social Sciences—the model ranked 5th globally among all LLMs. This outstanding achievement received high praise from MODA Minister Yi-Jing Lin, proving that through precise fine-tuning and efficient technology, Taiwan can develop an AI "brain" that balances high performance with local cultural authenticity.

Empowering Finance and Public Sectors: Targeting over 70% Market Share

APMIC has made significant strides in commercializing and deploying its technology:

●      Financial Sector: APMIC is actively collaborating with the government and 16 state-owned and private banks to co-train Taiwan's dedicated "Financial LLM." This initiative aims to help banks establish fully compliant, purely on-premise AI services. It is expected to drive the mass adoption of NVIDIA solutions in the financial sector, targeting a market share of over 70%.

●      Public Sector Applications: The Taiwan Sovereign Model is already deployed at core agencies, including the Investigation Bureau (Ministry of Justice), the Administration for Cyber Security (MODA), the Taipei City Government, and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Moving forward, the deployment will expand to thousands of government agencies, serving as the standard blueprint for NVIDIA NemoClaw technology integration.

Open-Source Contributions and Proven Track Record

APMIC continues to actively give back to the open-source community. It has launched the ACE Enterprise model and the Llama-3.2 model (offering 4B and 12B parameter sizes), featuring optimized versions such as NVFP4 and FP8. To date, total downloads by Taiwanese users have surpassed 53,956, and enterprise API calls have reached tens of thousands, demonstrating a powerful technological impact.

Future Vision: Developing "Digital Employees" to Lead Full Transformation

Looking ahead, APMIC will continue its close collaboration with NVIDIA. Beyond the current sovereign and financial models, the company plans to develop domain-specific models for law, insurance, finance, and taxation.

APMIC’s ultimate vision is to use these robust on-premise models alongside NVIDIA NemoClaw to build specialized "Digital Employees" for governments and enterprises. By turning AI from a simple tool into an active workforce capable of handling professional administrative tasks, APMIC aims to guide Taiwan through a comprehensive AI-driven digital transformation.
